DJ and producer from Caicedonia, based in Cali for over a decade. His distinctive style builds experimental sets full of rhythm and flavour; co-founder of the Chanama Family collective, he champions the region’s emerging artists.

Jan Hoo, a DJ and producer from Caicedonia, has been a vibrant force in Cali’s electronic scene over the last nine years. Since arriving in the city more than a decade ago, he has honed an unmistakable style marked by breakneck rhythms, raw, acidic sounds and groove-laden atmospheres. His sets offer not just a sonic experience but a total immersion in a universe of rhythm and flavour that captivates his audience. As co-founder and resident of the Caicedonita Chanama Family collective, he has been a cornerstone in recognising and supporting emerging artists in Caicedonia, the north of Valle del Cauca and beyond; the collective has played a crucial role in building a solid, vibrant local music community. Throughout his career he has taken his music to a range of stages, from local clubs to national festivals, leaving an indelible mark with every performance. His commitment to developing the electronic scene in his hometown has been a constant driver, consolidating an audience that has grown from humble beginnings into a robust, passionate community. Together with his collective he has forged a solid scene in the “ciudad centinela”, proving that passion and collective effort can turn any dream into reality.
